The Crossroads Westside apartment complex held its grand opening Tuesday, adding another luxury apartment complex to Downtown.
Located in the Crossroads Arts District on the border of Kansas City’s Westside neighborhood, the Cityscape Residential-developed project is located mere yards away from Interstate 35. In fact, its fourth floor peeks over the elevated portion of highway that carries heavy traffic through that area.
The 221-unit complex features a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments most of which have balconies. Ranging in size from a 614-square-foot, one-bedroom, one-bath unit to a 1317-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bath unit, the apartments start at $1,239 per month with the most expensive unit topping out with a rental rate of $2,344.
Crossroads Westside features luxury amenities for residents including a saltwater swimming pool, game room, a pet spa and fitness center. The complex also has two private sundecks, grills and a fire pit.
Built at a cost of more than $40 million just southeast of I-35 and Southwest Boulevard, Crossroads Westside is the latest Kansas City-area development completed by the Indianapolis-based developer. The company has developed seven communities in the metro area, including The Summit on Quality Hill which sold recently, and has one more under development in Lee’s Summit.
The Crossroads Westside complex is managed by Barrett & Stokely Management LLC which is also based in Indianapolis.
